NZ Football in conjunction with Mainland Football are excited to announce Girls and Women's Football Month in March!
This is a nationwide campaign to celebrate and grow the involvement of women and girls in football. This is an awesome opportunity for your club to showcase its support for girls'and women’s football, attract new members, and celebrate the contributions of your amazing players, coaches, referees, and volunteers.

Milo Fantails
Fantails is growing, with four new clubs now delivering the programme in their local communities: Halswell United AFC, Nomads United AFC, Ferrymead Bays FC, and Ōtakaro FC.
Cashmere Technical FC are also back delivering again this year! This means more chances for girls to play football in a fun, supportive, girls-only environment.

NZF Open ID Session

NZF is hosting an Open ID Session at English Park, and we’re inviting female youth coaches to get involved as Scouts. This is a great opportunity to learn more about talent identification, engage in the scouting process alongside NZF staff, and provide feedback on players.

Learn about the ID process, watch video examples, and explore NZF’s evolving female pathway.
ID Session – Thursday 27th Feb, from 3.30pm at English park.

Join us for a free event for girls and boys to try futsal!
Led by experienced coaches and players from the Pride & Dragons Futsal Teams, this is a great way to build skills, play games, and meet new futsal friends.
You'll get to meet the Pride Futsal players and there will be lots of giveaways and prizes!
There is also a chance to become a Ball Kid & Mascot for the upcoming Super League Games (Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 March).

A celebration of girls in football as part of Girls and Women’s Football Month. This event is open to all girls aged 5–12, whether you’ve never kicked a ball before or already love the game.
The festival is all about having fun, making new friends, and enjoying football in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. With games, skills sessions, and giveaways, it’s the perfect way to experience what Fantails is all about and connect with your local football club.
